1. Where are you located?
We are located 19402 Kuykendahl Rd, Spring, TX. Just north of the light at Spring Cypress, on the east side of the road

2. May I tour the facility?
Absolutely! We encourage you to visit and prefer that you come in the middle of the day, if possible. We can not guarantee a tour on holiday check in days

3. When may I bring my dog in for a trial visit?
It's best to wait until a week or two before his actual stay with us unless you think he may require more than a couple of visits. Just give us a call to set up an appointment.

4. Do I need reservations?
Yes. Usually a few days notice is all we need, except during holidays, school breaks and summer, when you will need to call well in advance.

5. Does my pet need to have certain vaccinations prior to boarding?
Yes. We also highly recommend a flea and heartworm prevention. For the safety of your pet, other boarders and our staff, we require proof of the following immunizations:

Dogs:
Rabies (1 year or 3 year)
Bordetella ( every 6 months) Advisable that dogs be vaccinated for Bordetella within the past 4 to 6 months. We will accept current records for the rest based on veterinarian protocols

Cats:
Rabies We will accept current records for the rest based on veterinarian protocols
Leukemia

6. What if my pet needs to be medicated during his stay?
Bring the medication with you when you check in, and we will administer it to him according to your instructions.

7. What if my pet becomes ill or requires medical attention during his stay?
For continuity of care, we will take your pet to your veterinarian when needed. In the event that the pet’s regular vet is not available, we will take him to the emergency clinic, if necessary, or another quality practice that is available at that time.

8. May I bring my pet's favorite toys and treats?
Yes! But bear in mind that some possessions can get lost, so don’t bring anything valuable. We provide food bowls and bedding.

9. Do I need to bring my pet's food?
We provide top quality food to boarders. We would prefer to use our food when we can. However, if your dog requires a special diet, we would be more than happy to accommodate your dogs needs. Food brought in needs to be in a container, water proof storage, preferably metal.

10. How old does my pet need to be?
Guests should be 4 months or older. Guests not meeting this requirement must be examined by their vet and receive a clearance of good health not more than 1 week prior to their stay and be current on vaccinations.

11. Can my pets stay in the same run together?
We can accommodate two or more dogs in one run together, depending on size and whether or not they can eat together and are always compatible.

12. Can I board my dog even if I don't know how my dog will act around other dogs?
While there are many factors that influence your dogs behavior, we suggest a visit to daycare prior to your boarding date so we can evaluate your dog's temperament. We will continue to monitor your dog throughout their stay and make any adjustments necessary. Guests staying at Elkin Pet Care must possess a temperament that allows staff members to care for them. Allowances may be made for specific temperament issues, but the pet cannot pose a danger to staff members. If the guest is scheduled for daycare, they must not be aggressive toward people or other pets or our clients.

13. What are your hours?
